Art in Berlin
Berlin’s creative potential is enormous and it is the city of design (awarded by UNESCO). For instance, the Berlin Biennale for contemporary art (www.berlinbiennale.info) has become the meeting point for the international art scene. The DesignMai (www.designmai.de) is distributed to 80 locations and has also established itself internationally. And finally, the Transmediale is the largest platform for digital art in Germany (www.transmediale.de is).
Dine and Dance

Bar in the sky

DomLounge
The DomLounge is on the highest floor of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin. On 1400 square meters, guests are welcome in a unique and fascinating ambience. The event rooms are divided on two floors. They are suited for events like wedding ceremonies and galas as well as conferences, product presentations and business meetings. There are also other rooms for different occasions.
When you enter the hotel you are already welcomed by a tropical underwater world. A huge aquarium in form of a cylinder, the AquaDom with about 2500 colorful fishes, impresses with a height of 25 meters in the atrium of the hotel. Inside is a glass elevator which you can exclusively book for your evening event.
Experience unforgettable moments in the sky lounge above the roofs of the city by exotic cocktails or cake from the own patisserie.

Long monument
The Karl-Marx Alle (former named Stalinallee until 1961) is the longest monument of Germany. Socialist Realism, also known as “stalinistischer Zuckerbäckerstil”, frames the 90 meter wide boulevard, which was built in 1952-1960. Landmark of this impressive avenue with many up to 300 m long and up to nine-storey apartment blocks are the two towers at Frankfurter Tor, which were inspired by the towers of the Dome on the Gendarmenmarkt. The buildings (build out of massive brickwork), were constructed of remains from bombed houses.

Madame Tussauds Berlin
Many celebrities are there, at Madame Tussauds. The only thing is: they are not real – but out of wax. Life-size figures, which are extremely similar to their living colleagues. Do you ever wanted to meet Albert Einstein, Angela Merkel or John F Kennedy? Then come to Madame Tussauds.

Monument of Peace
The Molecule Men were constructed in 1999. The 30 meter high figures of the U.S. artist Jonathan Borofsky in the Spree river should symbolize the peaceful meeting of each other at the interface of Friedrichshain, Treptow and Kreuzberg.

Shopping in a different way
Don`t miss the little shops in Berlin, who are becoming more and more unconventional! Berlintapete produces extravagant wall coverings, even by individual motives (Kollwitzstraße 80 | http://www.berlintapete.de), and in the concept store Luxus International, designer and creative can hire a fold for 5 Euro per month and offer their works (Kastanienallee 101 | http://www.luxus-international.de). In the ber Store (Auguststr. 26a | http://www.ueber-store.de), unusual pieces, like pyramid presses and jewelry associations are offered.
Monument of the book-burning
On the Bebelplatz, the monument of the Israeli artist Micha Ullmans reminds of the book-burning (10th May 1933). Works by Erich Kästner, Bertolt Brecht, Kurt Tucholsky and other authors, which were not acceptable for the Nazis, were burned. The monument, in a former tram tunnel, is designed as a library with space emptied for 20,000 books. Through a glass plate, that was inserted into the top floor, the glance falls on empty shelves.

Water in the city
The scene is meeting on the water: At the Flutgraben, in the water-restaurant Freischwimmer, you can dine on a total of 100m long shore plateau. There are 140 outdoor courts and 60 indoor courts. You can go on seasonal culinary world tour in an usual relaxed atmosphere. The culinary creations from all over the world have to taste, integrated into an appropriate program.
