Winner will be awarded at the opening ceremony of HANNOVER FAIR 2017 (Monday, 24th, to Friday, 28th April)
Companies and institutions can now apply for the HERMES AWARD 2017. This is one of the world’s most important industrial prices. It will be awarded to a product which stands for technological innovation and will be presented for the first time at HANNOVER MESSE 2017. The products submitted must already be tested industrially and/or be used in industrial applications as well as to be considered particularly innovative in view of their technical and economic implementation. The application deadline is 22 February 2017.
The HERMES AWARD is annually published by Deutsche Messe in the run-up to HANNOVER MESSE and is endowed with a PR package with a total value of around EUR 100,000. “The HERMES AWARD not only gives the winning product maximum attention but also the nominated company. Anyone who stays up to the nomination is one of the most innovative companies at HANNOVER MESSE, “says Dr Jochen Köckler, a member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Messe AG.
An independent jury, chaired by Prof. Dr Wolfgang Wahlster, Director and Chairman of the Management Board of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), will determine the award winner. The nominated companies will be presented on 23 April at the opening ceremony of HANNOVER MESSE 2017.
All products nominated for the HERMES AWARD 2017 will be presented at the HANNOVER MESSE in the Research & Technology area from 24 to 28 April 2017 in Hall 2.
At the HANNOVER FAIR in 2016, Harting was awarded for the “MICA”. This is an open and modular platform as the central component of embedded hardware and software for industry 4.0. An innovative combination of established Linux technologies will enable virtualization of field devices. With MICA, already existing machines and systems can be equipped with artificial intelligence.
