Amongst the one hundred participants from all over the world, the winner was the Italian Enrico Guidi. The result is on display at the Essen Motor Show. Mostro Zagato powered by Maserati
With the new Mostro Zagato powered by Maserati, Zagato is evoking memories of the Maserati 450S which was provided with special bodywork for the 24-Hour Race in Le Mans in 1957. In this respect, the Italian designers attached the greatest possible importance to optimum aerodynamics because the 450S had enough power with over 400 bhp from a 4.5-litre V8 engine. Stirling Moss and Harry Schell drove the racing car which had a top speed of 320 km/h and, because of its power and sound, was called “Monster” by the fans. It is planned to manufacture five of the new Mostro Zagato powered by Maserati.
